KNEE

Patellar tendonitis

Pain around the tendon below the kneecap, sometimes called jumper’s knee.

Understanding pain below the kneecap

The patellar tendon connects the kneecap to the shinbone. Patellar tendon pain, sometimes called jumper’s knee, can be associated with repeated jumping and other activities that load the knee.

What you might notice

  • Pain below the kneecap
  • Discomfort with jumping or squatting
  • Stiffness at the front of the knee

A conversation about your needs.

Tell us about sport, stairs, squatting and changes in activity. An existing diagnosis helps distinguish tendon pain from other causes of knee symptoms.

What your visit looks like

Wear shorts or loose clothing. We position the knee comfortably, explain the treatment area and adjust the session in response to your feedback.

We bring the equipment to you. A first visit reserves 30 minutes for consultation and treatment; follow-ups reserve 20 minutes.

Your next steps

Your return-to-activity goals and response between appointments guide the conversation about further sessions.

Suitability and results vary. This technician-provided service does not replace medical diagnosis or a rehabilitation plan.
